The council of Leader Joutsenten reitti has granted money for twelve new projects.
In the investment project of Huittinen, a skate park will be built in Koskipuisto. It consists of 6 different obstacles and is suitable for both a beginner and an advanced skater. The goal is to add to the health and fitness of young people.
The project is estimated to cost 94 000 euros and Joutsenten reitti will cover over 65 000. The city of Huittinen itself will be left with around 28 000 euros to pay. This sum will come from the assets of Mikko Uusi-Erkkilä's inheritance, handed over from the State Treasury to Huittinen.
According to the project plan, the tendering for the execution of the skate park will take place early next year. The building part would start by spring and the park would be connected to the nearby area of Mesta, the meeting place of teenagers, in the summer.
In Kiikka, the adolescents of the area will be able to participate in Eero Kumanto’s drawing course, all thanks to Joutsenten reitti. Kumanto, who comes from Kiikka, is an artist and a graphic designer who was inspired to host a drawing course for the teenagers in the area. The project is carried out financially by the Nuoriso-Leader program.
The student editorial of Lauttakylä newspaper and Pellonpuisto school makes some translations from weekly paper into English. The English summary was was made by 8th grader Vilja Vartia./Lauttakylä-lehden ja Pellonpuiston koulun yhteinen oppilastoimitus kääntää poimintoja viikon lehdestä englanniksi.
