The technical committee decided to return the project plan for the sport’s field of Huittinen back to preparation.
According to the decision, calculations involving coatings, grass area and sports venues will be included in the new plan.
The acting technical director’s original plan was that the committee accepts the project where the field is upgraded to a national level and makes an investment, accepting the cost estimate to be 1,1 million euros. To make the field qualified to host national competitions, there must be a grandstand cover, which costs 50 000 euros.
The aim of the new project plan is to find different options taking into account all financial consequences. The goal is to achieve a safe and useful sports field, considering the maintenance, says the civil engineering manager, Johanna Kalaoja.
It is possible to receive a maximum of 30 percent of the project’s cost estimate as a subsidy granted by the Regional Administrative Agency.
