You can’t have a fall break without some tricks

There was a parkour-course at Tahto Areena and a wibit track in the swimming hall.

Kids in grades 1-6 were jumping and crawling around in the parkour course during fall break. There were dozens of kids at Tahto Areena in the kids’ Liikuntapäivä, and special physical education instructor Jussi Pentti wasn’t surprised.

The parkour club is one of the most popular afternoon clubs in Huittinen, he stated.

Pentti believes that children like parkour because it is about tricks, testing one's own limits and freedom.

Pentti and school encourager Timo Kuusisto instructed the parkour course and ball games during fall break, among other activities.

Many sports were played at the get-together, soccer was the most popular. Although, for example, badminton and spikeball were also found interesting, says Pentti.

In Spike, a ball is hit with an open palm into the net towards the opposing team.

The wibit track in the swimming hall was also interesting to the kids.

Wibit could be called a trick track in the swimming pool. And playing tricks is always on the children's mind.

A wibit-club however, is not possible. The track takes up a lot of space in the swimming pool, and the assembly and disassembly are a lot of work.
